The Tale of Despereaux by Kate Dicamillo

What can I say about this book except that it's an awesome read aloud that never fails to captivate my students? The full title is The Tale of Despereaux: Being the Story of a Mouse, a Princess, Some Soup and a Spool of Thread, and it's the story of a brave mouse who saves a beautiful princess. This book has been made into a movie which will be released at Christmas, so if you haven't read it yet, now is the time to do so.
